From the time we contacted them to organize our holiday to the final day of our vacation, Amo travel showed exceptional professionalism, service and customer care. Our holiday was superbly organized with so many different activities, sightseeing and cultural experiences. Everything went as planned in the programme. The kids had a wonderful time. Day 1: Saigon arrival (-/-/-)

Upon your arrival, your guide and driver would be ready to welcome you right at the arrival lounge of Tan Son Nhat international airport. Your guide would debrief for you about the whole trip itinerary, and eager to respond to all of your wonderings. For the rest of the day, it is time at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Saigon visit (B/-/-)

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Your guide and driver would wait for you at the lounge of the hotel at 13:30, this is the perfect timing for you to explore our city tour. You would visit Saigon Central Post Office. Following that, you continue with Notre Dame, an impressive neo-Romanesque cathedral in the centre of city, the ‘wedding cake’ styled Hotel D’ville and Dong Khoi streets, formerly the center of haute couture in Saigon when it was known as Rue Catinat. Then visiting Chinatown and Thien Hau Lady temple that was built in the early 19th century dedicated to Thien Hau – Goddess of seafarers. You will finish your tour at Fine Arts Museum. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: Saigon – Cai Be – Cho Lach (B/L/D)

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Your guide and driver would wait for you at the lounge of the hotel at 7:30 then transfer to Cai Be floating market. Then the visitors are picked up by the tourist boats to visit the floating market of rice in An Cu commune, Cai Be district – where is the rice trade largest exporter Southwest region of Vietnam, tourists will chat to learn more about daily life of the trader. The next destinations are the ancient village of Dong Hoa Hiep commune and Cai Be floating market. Leaving the floating market, tourist boats take visitors to Tan Phong islet and go to  Hai Yen bee farm. Here, guests will visit big flower garden where bees produce honey , ẹnjoy fresh honey tea and understand more about bees life, visit  Linhzhi mushroom area, try to pulling fish hooves, experience the monkey bridges. Then, guests continue visiting the orchard of Ms. Hang and enjoy the fruits in the garden picked by themselves , listening to Vietnamese folk music then getting in a rowing boat to a small canal. The Mekong Eco restaurant is the next destination guests arrive to Mekong Ecolodge and participate in cooking and having lunch. After having lunch, guests cycle to Ms Ba’s house to learn how to make the ricepaper which used to make the sping roll dishes. Then, the passengers continue going to Ms. Sau’s house to see the method to knit the banana hammock from the rope of dry banana leaves. After that, the tourists will visit Ms Muoi- a very old woman- to see the method to make the nipa leaves that can be the roof of Vietnamese house. Say goodbye to Ms Muoi, visitors cycle to Thao’s house to know how to knit water hyacinth, guests can also enjoy their first handmade lovely gift with the guidance of Ms. Thao. Finally, tourists come back to Mekong Ecolodge to take a rest. Transfer to Cho Lach. Dinner and overnight at homestay.

Day 4: Cho Lach – Ben Tre – Saigon (B/-/-)

Breakfast at local home. Take a bike ride around the village (3-8 km, depending on your health).  Then transfer to Ben Tre. On arrival in Hàm Luông pier, cruise on Ben Tre river  exploring  the  lively activities along river as fishing, water transfering…….see  brick making in  handy traditional style by printing and baking. Visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Take a walk to family workshop making sleepmats and enjoying some fruits and tea. Riding a motor cart (xe lôi) on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on realy life and find out  about tropical culture from Peasants. Afternoon –  riding a sampan along canal, befor boat back to Ham Luông pier.  End you touring, going back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 5: Saigon – flight to Da Nang – Hoi An (B/-/-)

Enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, your driver will transfer you to the Saigon international airport. You will catch in-country flight to Danang. Upon your arrival, your driver would meet you at Danang International airport and take you to the hotel in Hoi An for check-in.

Day 8: Hoi An – Tra Que village – Lantern making class (B/-/-)

After your breakfast at the hotel, your private guide would warmly support you for the biking tour from your hotel to Tra Que Organic Village, going through the market gardens where local farmers work on their fields using the traditional methods from the past hundreds years. Amo Travel would like to keep the authentic hospitality this way: simple, warm, with nice light “spa” food and plenty of home-grown organic vegetables and herbal foot treatment. You can experience the traditional techniques of our eight generations of home grown organic vegetables and herbal and authentic Vietnamese cuisines. We continue with lantern making class. This class surely will be a very interesting experience for everyone – families, adults, teens and kids. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 9: Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue (B/-/-)

After your breakfast at the hotel, checking out in the morning, you would depart to Hue. You may stop by Lang Co beach to have short break before crossing Hai Van Pass and the Mable Mountain; the high mountain pass of Hai Van. At the height of 450 meters above sea level Hai Van pass is the high dividing line between the climate zones of north and south Vietnam. Here you can enjoy the magnificent view of the central coast. The soft adventure drive over the 23 km long pass will add more highlights for this trip. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 10: Hue visit – flight to Hanoi (B/-/-)

Breakfast is served at the hotel then you may spend the entire day to explore Vietnam’s former ancient capital. Your guide and driver pick you up and transfer you to the wharf for your boat ride on the Perfume River. During the boat trip, you will stop to visit the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, a symbol of Hue – the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship. Then you go to visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue with the Purple Forbidden City – once the Emperor’s private residence. You may continue to visit a tomb monument of King Tu Duc & King Khai Dinh which is located in a very special area. More than just a tomb visiting, it’s the great chance to learn more about Nguyen King and the landscape is spectacular. Your driver will take you right to Phu Bai airport for your in-country flight to Hanoi. Upon your arrival, your driver would meet you at Hanoi airport and take you to the hotel for check-in. Day 11: Hanoi visit (B/-/-)

Breakfast is served at the hotel and you would have the full day to explore the charm of Vietnam’s capital. Your guide and driver would wait for you at the lounge of the hotel at 8:30. You would be taken to highlight sites of Hanoi: the Presidential Palace (formerly Palace of the Governor-General of French Indochina), Ho Chi Minh house-on-stilt, One-Pillar Pagoda. You may also have chance to visit Temple of Litterature – Vietnam’s very first university dated back in the 11th century. It is well-known in Vietnam for a combination of Confucian sanctuary and academy clearly proved by stone tablets which you may see. After lunch, we would plan to visit the Museum of Ethnology – the space just for you to spot past events and turning points of Vietnam people along with the identity of 54 recognized ethnic groups of this S-shaped country. Following by the Old Quarter Walking tour, you would have time at Café Giang  for some bitter sweet coffee, enjoying the local life at the oldest home-made coffee brand in Hanoi. The day ended up with a Water Puppet Show which had been maintained there in Vietnam for around 1000 years. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 12: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi (B/-/-)

After breakfast , start departing for Hoa Lu, former capital of Vietnam for 41 years under the dynasty Dinh and Le (between 968 and 980). Until now, there have still been two beautiful sanctuaries, dedicated to the Kings Le and Dinh, the first unifiers of the country. Aside from these shrines, the area is also worth a visit for its rolling hills and picturesque rocky landscapes. Continue to Tam Coc with traditional boat ride on the river which takes you to the beautiful Tam Coc Caves (the 3 caves) under the high karst monoliths. For about 2 hours, a landscape calm and peaceful, unfolds right before your eyes. The you can be on short bike ride or walk to the Bich Dong pagodas built on a hillside. Return to Hanoi. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 13: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

07.45 – 8:30: Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and heading to northeast of Vietnam

12.30: Arrive at Swan office, transferred by tender to Swan Cruise.

12.45: Enjoy welcome drink, be briefing about safety on boat and activities included then check in cabin.

13.30: Delicious Vietnamese set menu while leisurely cruising to the core of Halong Bay.

15.00: Arrive to kayaking area – that is Cap La Island. Enjoy kayaking through the karst and breathtaking nature, swimming and relaxing.

17.30: Get back to the boat and enjoys Sunset party while our cruise sailing to the overnight anchorage.

19.00: Sumptuous set-dinner on board.

20.30: Free time for joining games, you may also try your luck with squid fishing. Overnight onboard with Swan Cruise.

Day 14: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi (B/L/-)

06.30: Starting your day with Tai Chi on the Sundeck.

07.00: Breakfast will be served in Western style and furthermore with Vietnamese traditional food – ‘PHO’

08.00: Explore the Thien Canh Son.  guide will explain the history of Ha Long Bay and this Cave, made by Mother Nature

09.30: Upon return to the boat you will have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing.  

Please remove all of your belongings from your cabin, you may leave heavy luggage outside of the cabin (staff will transfer directly to the pier).

10.30: Vietnamese cooking demonstration on boat.

11.00: Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese brunch.

12.00: Disembark in Hon Gai pier

12.30: Farewell Halong Bay then returns to Hanoi

17.00: End of service.

You will relax at your new hotel in Hanoi. At 10:00PM, your driver will take you right to the airport for catching your home departure flight.
