Thailand Visa 2026

17/09/2026

If you plan to travel to Thailand, we ensure the program is tailored to your taste and accompany you throughout your trip. However, remember to inquire about the visa and purchase your airplane ticket.

In certain cases, the Thailand Visa is not required. Everything depends on the number of entries, the number of days in Thailand, and your nationality. Discover if you can be exempted from a visa for your trip to Thailand.

Visa Exemption for Less Than 30 Days in Thailand

The visa exemption allows certain travelers to enter Thailand for a duration of 30 days without a visa (reduced from 60 days), if several conditions are met. Thailand exempts visas for citizens of 60 countries and territories (including the US, UK, EU countries, Japan, China, India…). ASEAN citizens enter under bilateral agreements (30 days for Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia…; 14 days for Cambodia, Myanmar). Land border entries under visa exemption are limited to a maximum of 2 times per year.

To enter Thailand under this visa exemption framework, eligible citizens must ensure:

  1. Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry to Thailand.
  2. Proof of onward or return flight matching the allowed stay duration.

Visa exemption stays can be extended locally once for an additional 30 days at immigration offices for a fee of 1,900 THB.

Mandatory Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

All foreign visitors entering Thailand by air, land, or sea are required to fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online, completely replacing the paper TM6 form. Travelers must complete the free online registration at https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home within 72 hours prior to departure.

Long-Term Visas and Random Check Requirements

For long-term stays, digital nomads, freelancers, and cultural event participants can apply for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), valid for 5 years with stays up to 180 days per entry. Citizens not eligible for visa exemption must apply via the official e-Visa portal at https://thaievisa.go.th/ . Upon arrival, Thai immigration performs strict random checks requiring: completed TDAC QR code, round-trip ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and minimum cash/funds of 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family.
